Like I posted on our Steam group (go join if you aren’t a member) we have decided to switch server providers as a result of our increasing bandwidth needs. Our current host just doesn’t offer reasonable prices once you need to buy additional bandwidth. We are not going to have better servers or anything like that but we will have a very large amount of bandwidth at our disposal. Ten terabytes to be exact.
So what does this mean to you?
Well, not much except that you won’t be able to play for another day or two. The second server is still being setup and after that spacetech will go in and set it up. Some files still need to be moved for Sassilization and Lounge and until that takes place they will be down. As for the website, everything should be back to normal and functioning normally. If you notice anything abnormal taking place please feel free to report it either on the forums or to webmaster@sassilization.com.
That’s all for now, I will edit this post with any updates we have.
Update 1
We have finished setting up both servers. Currently Deathrun and Climb are up with some slight difficulties in regards to jukebox.
The current IPs are:
Deathrun: deathrun.sassilization.com:27015 or 69.175.20.178:27015
Climb: climb.sassilization.com:27015 or 69.175.20.179:27015
Update 2
All the jukebox problems have been resolved.
Update 3
A much needed exception in the firewall was missing resulting in Apache on Server 2 to be blocked. This problem has been resolved and should greatly increase any download times when joining Deathrun and Climb.
Update 4
We were having issues with remote desktop which required restarting the servers, all services should be restored. There is an usual bug which has been keeping the Lounge and Sassilization servers down. We are trying to resolve this and hope to have them up soon. Any and all current downtime will be accounted for and credited to advertisement owners.
Update 5
The Lounge and all accompanying Sassilization servers are, at long last, up. All advertisement owners were given an additional week which should more than make up for the downtime.

Although it sucks having the servers down for a few days, it’s good that the sassilization community has more room to expand though.
And as for ten terabytes… Holy shit.
