Keep it straightforward and along the same theme as the lounge. I think that the More button or searchbar could just be replaced with a scroll bar, but, a search feature would be neat.

These are really nice. I’m impressed at your speediness. When Friday comes we will have a poll on the Forum with everyone’s mock up and let everyone vote for the best one.

Well I made a quick one, bassically I think it will be better to put the map into categories, my idea was small maps, medium maps, and big maps.

Say 3 people went into a sever they don’t want a huge map they want a reasonably small one. With categories it will tell them which maps are big or w.e

So this was a quick mock up I did and bassically there are 3 things to click
Small, Med, Big you click on one of these and then a little box appears with the list of maps that are “big” for instance.

I made a quick one like Cyborg did, but it should pretty much give you the a good idea on what it is.

Like Cyborg, there is a small, medium and large category for maps. There is also the map icon for the selected map in particular as well as one on the bottom for the map that is being voted the most by the other voters during the vote. It shows the top 3 voted maps and how many votes they are getting. Pretty it up with the sass theme and all of that other fancy jazz and you’ve got yourself the vote menu I suggest.

Anyway.. Sass I think you should combine all the aspects of the good ones togther to make an epic one. If you know what I mean.

CrashLemon’s is my favorite so far in the way it looks; Calvin1337′s is my favorite so far in functionality. I like how Calvin’s shows how many votes the map has. I don’t think I like the Leaderboard replicated ones (with the blue/white rows from the leaderboard). I’m not too sure about the ‘pass vote’ idea on Boofy’s.

Basically, two ideas, number 1 is okay, I prefer #2 though. #2 (confirm) is the confirmation screen for a vote.

Basically you click on a map, it comes you, yes/no, the vote goes to the top right corner, you can chat, etc.

Thanks for all the replys and stuff. And i’m willing to change it and take out the “pass vote” if you like. Theres alot more i could do to it… and i thought it may be too big but if you think about it, you get teleported to a dif part of the lobby, it could be on the wall like the when you watch the games or it could pop up. but either way it would be able to fit. if not i’d remake it so it does =]. Great work guys!

I like them all, particularly CrashLemons due to the map preview and interface it brings

are we allowed to review ours? Im tempted to remove the checkbox on mine and replace it with the number of votes. Then just have a single click to view map image, and double click for vote.

Absolutely, you can submit as many as you want but I will only put the latest one on the poll.

Also, everyone try to remember that dynamic text can’t really have the filter effects most of you are adding (like bevels and gradients). This is why CrashLemon’s is the best so far, it looks great and it is super simple (It just needs a a chat box [maybe]). I Don’t think we need to show how many votes a map has when only 6 people are voting. I plan to have it show 6 maps at random and give 5 seconds for voting and then it will have a tie breaker vote only showing the top two maps voted for.

Well, taking your recommendations, showed only six maps, removed borders from the text, and made it a more point and click interface rather than scroll.

Then again, nobody has given me any feedback, so this will probably be the final one, as there’s no point in trying if nobody likes the style, haha

After doing some brainstorming and doodling on a piece of paper I came up with this idea. While being a little more fancy then most and a bit more coding would be involved, I think it looks kinda cool :-p

I really like most of these submissions, with special intrest for Sniper’s, Hoppin’s and maybe Lemon’s.
Although i can see that one of the simpler layouts will win as the others would be bitches to code

I like snipers better. But i also like hoppins alot.

Snipers seems the best IMO. Crash’s is real close. but i dunno. Something about Snipers says “Sassilization” if you understand what im babbling about

Guys don’t forget we’ve all posted concepts and Sass can merge any of them together if he wants.

We’re giving ideas and he can do whatever he wants with them, he doesn’t have to presisely remake one of the concept…

Personally i feel sniper has won by a long shot, but dont worry hoppins urs is fine too (^_^).

I don’t think we even need a poll, from the feedback alone I think I know sniper’s is the best choice. And the easiest to develop.

I kept on meaning to make a mock-up map of this, but kept forgetting.
Maybe a 4×4 (or however many maps there are) grid of those plates you stand on to connect to a sass server, and each of them corresponds to a certain map. I think this would give a more immersive feel, and it could be made to perfectly fit the theme of sass.
